Lankelly Chase is a socially progressive foundation which uses its independence and resources to bring about change to improve the lives of people on the extreme margins of society and most exposed to social harm.
The Foundation is developing an action inquiry into the support available to people facing severe and multiple disadvantage, asking what it takes for ‘good’ support to be available more widely.
We are delighted to be representing Lankelly Chase in the recruitment of a new Programme Manager to join the team.
This key role will involve working closely with the Director, to build and develop open and trusting relationships with innovative partners who are trialing new models of support. Taking the lead on managing some of these relationships, this person will be involved in helping to develop grant proposals, identifying and commissioning additional resources to help partners build their own skills and capacity and working to develop wider networks to help gather and share learning.
The successful candidate will be intellectually curious, capable of absorbing and analysing large amounts of information and coming up with considered and informed solutions. The ability to manage sensitive relationships – as well as expectations – is essential in addition to first-rate administrative skills and an excellent eye for detail when it comes to documentation and grants related compliance. Experience of managing projects and organising events would be advantageous.
An understanding of the area of severe disadvantage is also essential. You might have experienced it personally or through the experiences of friends or family. Alternatively you may not have this lived experience but you will understand the field in which Lankelly Chase are working and the issues surrounding it.
