Village SOS funding awarded to Locality Members
Congratulations to Locality members Middleton Plus Development Trust, Lynemouth Community Trust, Wells Maltings Trust and Mawr Development Trust who are amongst 62 organisations to be awarded funding by the Big Lottery.
This is part of BIG’s Village SOS scheme, which aims to breathe new life into UK villages, through a package of support and funding for rural community enterprises. People can register at www.villagesos.org.uk where they will find information and resources for those starting and running community enterprises and access to tailored one-to-one support.
Find out about upcoming Locality Village SOS roadshows near you with hands-on advice from experts. These are taking place in Dumfermline, Narbeth, Skipton, Shrewsbury, Oxford, Morpeth, Norwich, Penrith, Exeter, Lincoln and London between April and July.
Today’s grants were accompanied by the great news that BIG are launching a further funding round, offering grants of up to £50,000 for rural community-led enterprises, from shops, to transport, to festivals to renewable energy schemes… Applications forms will be available from April 10th.
