Burton Manor Gardens Full Member

Burton Manor is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1805. In 1948 the manor became an adult education college, running day and weekend residential courses. The college closed in March 2011 The Friends of Burton Manor Gardens, a volunteer group, are dedicated to ensuring the gardens stay open to the general public, and demonstrating their full potential as an amenity to the community. They aim to promote for the benefit of the public the preservation, improvement and conservation of the walled garden, Edwardian glasshouse and surrounding gardens of Burton Manor. In doing so this will advance public awareness of the conservation, improvement and protection of the physical and natural environment. The Friends have carried out extensive conservation work in the gardens and the glasshouse and run a variety of courses and events for the community and visitors.
