Making Local Woods Work is a partnership working to support and grow woodland social enterprise around the UK.

It has received £1.15m of Big Lottery funding to support woodland enterprise and grow the potential for communities to run and manage woodland providing a range of economic, social and environmental benefits.

The partners, led by Locality, are running a series of webinars over the next 18 months which provide brief, learning opportunities and can either be accessed live or listened to at your convenience – they will be listed below:

Special Guest Mark Walton, Director of Shared Assets led our first webinar “So where do we go from here?” Scaling, Growing and Changing.

Developing a Management Plan for your woodland

This webinar is aimed at those groups who own or manage woodland and are looking to develop a management plan.  The session will lead you through step by step how to map your woodland, create an inventory, develop a vision and objectives and ultimately create a management plan, all through the free myForest web service.
