Community Contracting Unit – what we offer
The Community Contracting Unit provides a range of services to get your organisation ready for procurement.
Training – includes introduction to procurement, tender readiness, co-designing services and more (for both social enterprises and procurement officers).
Tender-readiness checks – for organisations embarking on their procurement journey. Locality has developed an online tool called the contract readiness checker that will help you understand how well you’re positioned to win and deliver a public sector contract
Access to finance – in response to the increasing need for cash flow and to deliver on a ‘payments by results’ basis. We have the contacts!
Co design – we can support commissioners, service providers and services users to work collaboratively to design services for procurement.
Consortia development – for established partnerships of organisations wanting to work together to achieve the scale of delivery necessary to bid for contracts.

For most organisations support from the CCU will be a paid-for service. We are always happy to provide a quote based on your specific needs.
For Locality members and organisations in special circumstances we may be able to offer initial elements of support at a free or discounted rate.
