Collaboration for communities: Giving power to partnership

Collaboration, Enterprise

This resource has been developed to guide facilitators of collaboration through the several stages of supporting a collaborative venture. It sets out the key issues you will face and provides a framework for organising and planning your support.

The guide was written by Alison Chambers and Anne Harper, following research by Helen Garforth, Just Ideas.

Collaboration for communitiesCollaboration for communities: Giving power to partnership was produced by bassac as part of the Collaboration Benefits programme funded by Capacitybuilders through Improving Support.  Bassac was the lead partner in the programme, working with Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE), Community Foundation Network (CFN) and the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR).

The Collaboration Benefits programme has now ended but a series of useful resources produced and collected by the programme will be available via the Locality website.  Locality was established in April 2011 following the merger of bassac and the Development Trusts Association.
