Locality is looking for a Development Manager, with a focus on Bristol and the South West, to join our ‘Services’ Team.

You’ll be working as part of a team providing tailored support to community groups of all sizes and to local authorities and other bodies. You will lead this work in Bristol and the South West and will provide line management and support to two Development Officers.

About The Role

In this role you would be :

  • Engaging with members across the region and developing relevant services
  • Contributing to business development and meeting agreed income targets
  • Helping to lead, develop and deliver a service delivery/consultancy team
  • Influencing and shaping the operating environment – leading on key activities
  • Taking on one or more team leadership roles in respect of the above

Your Experience

You’ll be bringing your experience of the diversity of the people and communities we serve as well as:

  • Knowledge and confidence which will enable you to deliver great advice and consultancy support to a range of organisations including local authorities, community and voluntary organisations, Universities and funders.
  • Skills to help deliver programmes in your region for example workshop facilitation, research, events planning, finance, communications, fundraising, producing reports or case studies.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Project management and budgeting skills
  • Commitment to quality
