About the role

Following a recent review of our senior management team we have created a new role of Director of Marketing and Partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative communications and marketing leader.

As our Director of Marketing and Partnerships you will lead on raising the profile of Locality through brand, communications, marketing and managing corporate and other marketing led partnerships.  You will be responsible for corporate communications, marketing and events, and will ensure a strong internal customer focus on marketing and communications supporting our projects and programmes.

You will also have lead responsibility for digital strategy, including lead responsibility for co-ordinating our approach to CRM across teams.  You will lead on managing My Community and client manage other corporate partnerships and will have lead responsibility on impact measurement and reporting. As part of the senior management team you will exemplify Locality’s values and our principles of equality and social justice.

This role reports to Tony Armstrong, our CEO, and will be working with a dynamic team of diverse and enthusiastic people, committed to success for our members to achieve positive change for communities across England.

To join us you will have:

  • Experience of managing and leading on marketing and communications strategies, along with the enthusiasm to develop and implement new ideas
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills gained from working at a senior level
  • The ability to analyse complex issues and data and the effective communication skills to present them to internal and external audiences.

The sector in which Locality works is often dominated by people from white privileged backgrounds. We are looking for people that bring a different perspective so that we better reflect the communities we serve. The current Covid 19 emergency has proved that our teams can work effectively from around the country.  So, although our Head Office is in London, this post will initially be home based and will remain flexible on location.
