It’s Valentine’s Day – and Locality members are celebrating!
With proposals of marriage galore, there are weddings and civil partnerships to be planned – and our members have some of the most exciting and quirky venues and wedding packages (the whole day from venue to the party and all the bits in between) around! There are some amazing spaces out their run by organisations who are using their assets to generate income from what can be a very expensive day. And for those celebrating, surely knowing their special day will help run services and provide support for others really is the icing on the cake!
Not only will you be celebrating your undying love for one another, you could be hosting your special day in a social enterprise that gives back to the community in so many ways. Here are some of our members’ offerings to consider as you embark on your beautiful life journey together:
Fancy tying the knot right in the heart of London? Toynbee Hall offers an elegant, Grade II-listed building just a few minutes walk from three central tube stations. This unique and stunning venue is the perfect location for wedding and civil partnership ceremonies and receptions, with its quiet, rose-lined courtyard – it is a real hidden, historic gem.
The halls are currently closed until summer 2018 while the estate undergoes a complete regeneration, but be sure to get your bookings in now for after summer. Find out more about the regeneration of the Toynbee Hall estate.
For a wedding with a difference that will be remembered by you and your guests for years to come, Victoria Baths is the venue to pick. Known to many is ‘Manchester´s Water Palace’, this historic building has served the communities of Manchester since 1906. It has a range of dramatic and unique spaces including the pools themselves, and the Turkish Rest Room with its amazing Angel of Purity stained glass window.

The Eden Project
