This month we spotlight the Winch, a Camden based charity that supports young people in north London "from cradle to career".

The Winch has been a key provider of services and support to young people in their community for nearly half a century. Their activities range from youth clubs and enterprise programmes, to emergency food and housing support, to managing (and saving) their local community Library.

Underlying all of their work is their belief in giving the young people they work with “a fulfilling life full of dignity and opportunity”. As Rashid Iqbal, Chief Executive of the Winch told us:

“The most important impact that we can make is to support young people in discovering their own agency and building communities in which they feel they belong and are valued”

Watch the short film and explore the images below, to find out more about their incredible, often life-changing work.

The Winch exists to help children and young people and their families, to succeed by giving them the opportunity and support that they deserve to live a fulfilling life full of dignity and opportunity"
