About this event

Over the last year we have heard how food has been an increasingly important topic for many of our members.

Whether it has been distributing food to shielding individuals during the pandemic lockdowns or running community cafés, we know that our members are deeply engrained and knowledgeable about this subject.

After a great Community Food session in April, we realised that Food Pantries (membership-based models of food distribution for a small fee), are becoming increasingly prominent in our member’s communities.

In this session we will be joined by some of our members who run food pantries, who have offered to share their learning. How are food pantries set up? What has their impact been? What important lessons have they learned from the experience?

At this session you will:

  • Learn about the experiences which Locality members have had with running food pantries
  • Have the chance to ask questions and share your own experiences
  • Have a wider opportunity to talk with peers about the other aspects Community Food which are happening in your community.

Whether you have an established food pantry and want to hear from others doing the same thing as you or you are just interested in the subject and want to learn more, book your place now.
