10:30–12:00

The first in a series of HR related workshops as we ease out of lockdown to look at the new practices we have developed, what have we learnt and what are the implications for developing good practice going forward.

About this event

This interactive workshop will look at how we support staff during difficult times. The Covid crisis has heightened our awareness of what we need to do to keep staff engaged and performing well. This includes looking after their well-being in the broadest sense. Once Covid is over – there will be lessons we can all take forward to promote good workplaces that support staff to achieve their best. We’ll look at some examples and also hear from members about they’ve been doing. You should go away with raised awareness of the issues and hopefully some practical ideas to try out in your own workplaces.

This workshop will also include the sharing of findings from our research project with Middlesex University about helping community organisations provide “good work” for their staff. You will get to see the draft of a practical toolkit that helps community organisations balance the challenges they face with the ability to provide meaningful and worthwhile work with secure working conditions, prospects for personal development and the ability for staff to participate in decision making.

This event is open to Essentials, Membership Plus, Partner and Partner Plus members.
