14:15 Introduction and tour of Nishkam Civic Association
The Nishkam Civic Association created the award winning £6m+ Nishkam Centre with £2.5m from European funding (ERDF) and £4m+ donated by the community. The centre was built with more than £1.5m worth of nishkam sewa (selfless service) of active volunteers, which is the life-blood of the Association’s work.

15:00 Moseley Community Development Trust (MCDT)
MCDT works for the sustainable regeneration of Moseley, which has a diverse community, including areas that are affluent as well as areas considered to be some of the most in need in Birmingham. MCDT have office space for rent and rooms to hire for events, run the Moseley Street Wardens and support many local groups to deliver projects. They also run the Moseley Exchange to foster enterprise in Moseley.
