Get together with people like you: our Power of Community network meetings give you the chance to develop your skills and be inspired by the work of others. They take place all around the country and are free for community members. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, you’ll fit right in!

About this event

Join us in Newcastle to

  • discuss challenges members are facing – and overcoming!
  • participate in a member-led problem-solving session
  • access a free 10-minute one to one advice session with a member of our specialist advice team or Senior Management Team (pre-book by email members@locality.org.uk)
  • be inspired by the fantastic story of the community space you’re visiting
  • learn about our Save our Spaces campaign and how to get involved.

Save our Spaces is Locality’s campaign to save our public buildings and spaces. For all of us. Forever.
We’re calling for a funding pot to help local community groups step-in to save public buildings and spaces for everyone through community ownership.

This event is hosted by Liberdade Community Development Trust at Gosforth Civic Theatre.

Liberdade is a community organisation running a number of performing arts, health and fitness initiatives and a cultural apprenticeship for people with learning disabilities. In 2016 they successfully completed the asset transfer of Gosforth Civic Theatre from Newcastle City council. The Theatre is now a multi-functional performance venue, coffee shop, garden and gallery space.

We look forward to seeing you there!
