About this event

Get together with people like you
Our Power of Community network meetings give you the chance to develop your skills and be inspired by the work of others. They take place all around the country and are free for community members.

This event is hosted by the Wolseley Trust

Wolseley Community Economic Development Trust was the first Community Development Trust in Plymouth and many of their pioneering initiatives for community involvement and business practices have been widely recognised and adopted by others. They deliver local and city-wide community initiatives to address inequality and invest in enterprise, job creation and skills training.

Join us in Plymouth to

  • be inspired by members building a fairer society – through giving people a purpose, a good places to live and good health. You will hear from the host organisation, and others about their current projects
  • co-create Keep it Local principles for Local Authorities to sign up to become Keep it Local ambassadors
  • feed into Locality’s 5-year strategic plan
  • participate in a member-led problem solving session.

You can also book a 10 minute one to one session with a member of our specialist advice team or Senior Management Team to get advice on a range of challenges of queries.

Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, you’ll fit right in!

“One of the best things about Locality membership is access to a fantastic and widespread network of likeminded people and organisations who are all pushing boundaries and achieving.”
