About this event

Get together with people like you
Our Power of Community network meetings give you the chance to develop your skills and be inspired by the work of others. They take place all around the country and are free for community members.

This event is hosted by Zest

Zest is an award-winning community enterprise which has been delivering high quality services to local people for almost 20 years.
They provide an accessible healthy living centre to tackle local inequalities in health and wellbeing, employment, and skills. Their belief in creating a centre where everyone belongs, feels valued and can fully participate in the life of the community underpins their work in creating a fairer society.

After the meeting, we”ll be going to the Gardener’s Rest, a community-run pub and community hub near Zest, which promotes social projects, arts, and real ale.

Join us in Sheffield to

  • be inspired by members building a fairer society – through giving people a purpose, a good places to live and good health. You will hear from the host organisation, and others about their current projects
  • co-create Keep it Local principles for Local Authorities to sign up to become Keep it Local ambassadors
  • feed into Locality’s 5-year strategic plan
  • participate in a member-led problem solving session.

You can also book a 10 minute one to one session with a member of our specialist advice team or Senior Management Team to get advice on a range of challenges of queries.

Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, you’ll fit right in!

“One of the best things about Locality membership is access to a fantastic and widespread network of likeminded people and organisations who are all pushing boundaries and achieving.”
