About this event

This event is hosted by Totnes Community Development Society

Totnes Community Development Society works to bring spaces into community use, management and ownership, through working in partnership with other groups and organisations locally to achieve this and in support of local service provision.

Join us in Totnes to:

  • Be inspired by members building a fairer society – through giving people a purpose, quality places to live and good health. You will hear and take away advice from the host organisation on how they’ve tackled a tricky issue in their community
  • Workshop: Digital conversations
  • Hear our national policy updates
  • Participate in a member-led problem solving session.

Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, you’ll fit right in!

“One of the best things about Locality membership is access to a fantastic and widespread network of likeminded people and organisations who are all pushing boundaries and achieving.”
– Locality member

13:45 Workshop: Digital Conversations
Digital technology is changing the world we live in at an ever-increasing pace. While the private sector has moved so much of its interactions and transactions on-line and digital transformation is a buzzword in the public sector, the third sector is less well prepared and connected. This session is the start of a digital conversation with Locality members to discuss the opportunities and barriers to making the most of what digital technology can offer to our sector, and to share members’ current knowledge and experience.
