About this event

Over the past year, Locality has been delivering a Sustainable Community Asset Ownership Advocacy Programme funded by Power to Change Trust. The aim of the advocacy programme is to engage key stakeholders in different locations around the country and look at the current issues and challenges in delivering sustainable community asset ownership in their local places, and to ensure that the learning and experiences of community organisations are used to advocate for good practice with local authorities and other public sector asset owners.

Part of the work has been to conduct a survey study of local authorities to gather the baseline data from which to develop the advocacy programme in each place and report against at the end of the programme.  In the South West, the survey was conducted across the whole region, and an additional survey was also conducted with VCS support organisations.

Join our lunchtime online session to reflect on the results of these surveys, find out what is happening in other local authority areas around the country, and help shape the agenda for the future of community assets in England.

With Locality’s Head of Community Assets and Enterprise, Stephen Rolph, and Cassandra Walker, the Assets Advocacy programme lead.
