Plan ahead for Locality Convention ’25 using these travel and accommodation recommendations.

We’ve put together some useful local information so you can book your hotel and plan a smooth journey to Anfield Stadium.

We are committed to creating an inclusive Convention, and we are doing what we can to ensure the venue is as accessible and welcoming as possible. Please let us know if you have any specific needs.

Some rooms in the venue have visible alcohol displays. We've covered what we can, and no alcohol will be served in workshop spaces. Alcohol will be served at dinner, but there is an option on the booking form to sit on a table where no alcohol will be served. If visible alcohol is a concern for you, please let us know and we will do what we can to ensure you are in a comfortable space.

Accommodation

Your delegate fee does not include accommodation. There is no accommodation at Anfield Stadium. Anfield Stadium is located 10 minutes' drive or 50 minutes' walk from Liverpool city centre.

There are a number of hotels in Liverpool city centre which are within walking distance of Liverpool Lime Street train station:

Travel

As part of our commitment to protecting the environment, we encourage all delegates attending Locality events to travel by public transport.

Travelling from Anfield to Liverpool city centre after Convention '25 Day 1

After the Awards ceremony on Wednesday 12 November, Locality will provide free shuttle buses for delegates from Anfield Stadium to Liverpool city centre (drop off at Liverpool Lime Street).

Arriving by train

The closest mainline train station is Liverpool Lime Street train station.

From here, you can take a taxi or Uber to Anfield, which will cost ~£10 one way and take approximately 10 minutes.

The number 17 bus also runs from Queens Square Bus Station to Anfield Stadium, which takes 20-30 minutes. The bus station is approximately 300 metres (3-5min walk) from Lime Street station.

Arriving by coach

National Express and Flixbus arrive at Liverpool ONE Coach station, which is located on Canning Place.

You can take the 26 or 27 bus from the coach station directly to Anfield Stadium, which takes 20-30 minutes.

You can also take a taxi or UBER from the coach station, which will cost ~£12 one way and take approximately 15 minutes.
 

Arriving by car

Free parking is available for delegates at the stadium on both days of the convention.

Please be aware that Anfield is located in a residential area with a residents' parking scheme in operation. Please DO NOT park on residential streets as parking enforcement will be in operation. Any illegally parked cars will incur a fine.

Arriving by plane

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is situated 30 minutes by car from the city centre.

Taxi/Uber transfer: costs ~£30 one way.

Train transfer: Take the 80A or 86A bus or a taxi to Liverpool South Parkway station. From Liverpool South Parkway, you can catch a train to Liverpool city centre.

Bus transfer: Arriva 500 bus service is the fastest bus service to operate between Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Liverpool city centre. Buses operate every 30 minutes between 4am and midnight daily.
