For many community organisations, events space hire is an important income stream. Since COVID-19, the way that groups are hiring out event spaces has changed. With an increase in last-minute bookings and home working, bookings are unpredictable.

By the end of the workshop, we will help you uncover how you can market your space hire and understand how you can increase income despite the uncertainty.

This training if for anyone who is involved with hiring out event spaces in your organisation.

  • How to tailor your marketing approaches to reach the right audiences for you
  • How to improve bookings and develop a pipeline of customers
  • How to develop packages and offers that will maximise your income from hiring out spaces
  • How to monitor and evaluate your progress

What to expect

Our group workshops are the perfect blend of expert support and peer to peer learning.

Our sessions allow small groups to tackle an area of marketing they wish to develop, share their experiences with the group to help work out common problems, as well as tackle specific problems of their own.

As this is an interactive session, to make the most of your training, please join us from a quiet place where you can focus and participate. Please have your camera on if possible.

How will it be delivered

This training will take place online on Zoom. We'll send out the Zoom link with the joining instructions before the session.

The training will run for three hours with short breaks.

The session will be broken up into topics with some information sharing, for example through a presentation.

This will be followed by group activities where you put this knowledge into practice and apply it to your organisation. We sometimes use digital tools for activities where we work together.

We want to make sure you can engage in our sessions, so please make sure to share any access needs you have on the booking form. We will be in touch to ensure we are making the right adjustments for you.

We try and share as much information as possible about what to expect before our online events, so you feel prepared for the session. This includes any digital tools we will use during the workshop. So just let us know any support or adjustments you need.
