The Local Power Plan aims to give communities and local authorities “a stake in the transition to net zero as owners and important stakeholders in local clean power projects”.
Locality is working with partners to understand how the Local Power Plan can be effectively structured to support capacity building and inclusivity in community energy.
Following interviews with community energy projects across the UK, this member discussion event we will provide an opportunity to test learning with a wider group of Locality members interested in community energy.
Findings will be sent to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to inform the design of the Local Power Plan and will be made available to the membership as a whole.
Members have been invited to express interest in attending the discussion event in return for a small payment.
The selection process has now closed and successful members have been invited to attend.
