Locality supports community organisations to become strong and successful and in 2019 was appointed fund manager for LHC’s Community Benefit Fund in London and the South East.
In its third year of allocating grants, the fund continues to make a difference to communities across eight different regions.
This year the grant has donated £86,358 split over 16 different organisations across 8 boroughs in London and the Southeast.
The project has helped to fund 48 projects so far. These brilliant organisations do a vast array of work within their local communities and show a positive impact in one of these areas:
- Outcomes for young people
- Health inequalities or social prescribing
- Jobs and skills: Increased participation for underrepresented groups
The organisations range from youth centres, women’s groups, supported learning workshops and employment programmes to asylum seeker aid, restoration of community buildings and more.
Ethan James, Acting Regional Manager for LHC London & South East said: “We are extremely proud that the LHC Community Benefit Fund has been able to support so many incredible local organisations as well as the people they serve. Yet again, it has been a fantastic year and we are really pleased to see such a diverse range of organisations awarded grant funding for the year ahead.
