Locality Awards 2023 Celebrating the transformative work of community organisations

The Locality Awards are back!

Our annual awards recognise the incredible impact and innovation shown by local community organisations, charities and councils across the country.

These awards recognise the people who are there on the frontline through challenging times. Those who provide the essential services, support, and encouragement when people need it most.

Applications are open between Wednesday 10 May and Wednesday 7 June 2023.

To be eligible for the Locality Awards (except for the Keep it Local award), organisations must be Locality Members with an Essentials or Membership Plus package. To be eligible for the Keep it Local award, organisations must be a local authority.

Locality award winners will receive:

  • A trophy in recognition of their work
  • £1,000 cash prize for community organisation winners to invest in their community or organisation (excluding the Keep it Local award)
  • All finalists and their achievements will also be celebrated and promoted throughout the Locality network and may even get a mention in the press!

Winning the Transforming lives Award has opened new doors as grant makers are sending organisations that are even smaller than ours to come and learn from us. This is a great privilege and a recognition of our work and credibility. Our prize money will be used to invest in an additional two people from our community being able to come the Locality Convention in Bristol next year!”
