Keep it Local Report: Principles in Practice

Overview

This Keep it Local report looks back at over four years of work with Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales and trailblazer councils across England to bring the Keep it Local principles to life.

The report showcases what we’ve learned together about making the Keep it Local approach work. It also highlights numerous examples of what the approach has looked like in practice in different places.

We continue to work with new and existing Keep it Local councils to unlock the power of community for more responsive services that reduce long-term costs and invest in the local economy.

Overview

Locality and the Keep it Local councils are calling on the government to support strong partnerships between councils and community organisations. The Keep it Local Manifesto sets out three big opportunities the government has to support these partnerships and nine policy recommendations for how they can do that.

The Manifesto showcases learning from Keep it Local councils and their community partners.

The Manifesto shows how these powerful partnerships have charted a way through trouble times, providing us with a blueprint for the future of local collaboration.
