At Locality Convention in November last year, we launched “Building Thriving Neighbourhoods”, our manifesto for the next election. In it, we set out a positive vision for what the future could look like with communities in charge – and the big policy reforms we need to get there. Ed Wallis, our Director of Policy and Engagement, will outline the key points in the manifesto, in particular our call for “Community-led Housing and Planning”, and lead a discussion about the opportunities for influence in this crucial election year.
As requested, the session will also look at standards and good practice in managing rented housing. This will include looking at the new standards for Registered Providers and how these might translate into good practice for community led housing management. As usual there will be plenty of time to share knowledge, tips and issues.
This event is for members with the Essentials or Membership Plus package. If you have the Partner package and would like to attend please get in touch at members@locality.org.uk.
