New programme will bring local community organisations together, to build resilience, share innovative practice and shape their community’s future. Thanks to National Lottery players, Locality and our partner organisations across the UK have received almost £1.9 million over three years from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest community funder in the UK.

The government has promised to ‘transfer power out of Westminster, and into our communities’. We look forward to helping make sure this bill delivers that long overdue transformation.

Whitehall doesn’t have the answers: the next government will need to look local

A new Locality report shows how local community organisations are re-engaging people where they are turning their backs on local democracy.

New report, released by ARCHES (Locality, Leeds Beckett University and Social Life) argues that the failure of health and local authority commissioners to listen to the expertise of community organisations is preventing us tackling health inequalities.

On 23 March, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities announced that 83 projects had been awarded grants totalling £33.5 million, with Locality members being awarded £6.9 million.
