About this event

Ahead of the local and devolved elections on 7 May, this member event will explore how shifting political dynamics are being felt at community level. With polling indicating growing support for Reform UK and the Green Party, and declining confidence in traditional centre-left and centre-right politics, there is increasing public appetite for change.

While local issues such as housing, employment, health and social security remain central to voters, wider global pressures and cultural debates are also shaping community experiences. These overlapping challenges are becoming more visible as elections approach.

Drawing on recent Locality reports, Community powered neighbourhoods and Creating places for everyone, this session will bring members together to discuss how community organisations can respond to political tensions and support inclusive, resilient local places.

This event is for members with the Essentials or Membership Plus package. If you have the Partner package and would like to attend please get in touch at members@locality.org.uk.
