About this event
You’ve told us how much you gain from listening to our Power of Community meeting hosts, so throughout 2025 we’re taking you across the county to some really fascinating places with some great stories to tell!
In addition to hearing from our great host, there’ll be our usual mix of information, networking and discussion, led by our CEO, Tony Armstrong, and the Locality team.
Venue: Ambition Lawrence Weston, Ambition House, 2 Stile Acres, Bristol, BS11 0PZ.
Our autumn visit is to a post-war housing estate in Bristol where Ambition Lawrence Weston was established in 2012 by a group of residents who wanted to make the area a better place to live. We’ll meet at their brand new purpose built community hub and hear about their community climate action work which includes construction of England’s largest on-shore wind turbine, and their recently approved community-led housing project, Astry Close.
