Senior Management Team
Tony Armstrong – Chief Executive
Tony has led Locality since 2014 and oversees all aspects of the organisation. He has a background in supporting communities to have more say over their local areas in the third sector and the public sector. He led the national charity Living Streets between 2008-14.
Before joining the sector, Tony was a civil servant for nine years and held a number of senior policy adviser roles in Government, including work on neighbourhood regeneration and renewal and health improvement.
Csaba Prodan – Director of Finance
Csaba has been with Locality since 2018 and oversees the Finance, Facilities and IT function. He is a dynamic ACCA qualified finance professional, experienced in compliance and financial regulatory requirements. He provides strategic financial planning and supports the board to discharge their responsibilities effectively. Before joining Locality, he worked in the NFP sector in various senior finance roles.
When not at work, Csaba is an avid traveller who loves discovering and learning about new places, different cultures and exploring exciting foreign cuisine. At the weekend, he enjoys long walks in London’s many parks as well as being an impressionist artist for the past 5 years.
Carole Reilly – Director of Services
Carole has worked in community development and regeneration in the third sector and public sector for over 25 years, and has worked at Locality for over 10 years.
As Director of Services Carole leads all direct support work for local communities. Prior to holding this post Carole led Locality’s Neighbourhood Planning aprogramme supporting community organisations actively involved in development and regeneration.
Prior to joining Locality she was Chief Executive of a large development trust in the East of England. She has been a member of the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Regional Committee since 2002.
Ed Wallis – Director of Policy and Engagement
Ed leads Locality’s influential policy, research and public affairs work, and the development of Locality’s membership network of over 1000 community organisations. He was previously a director and senior research fellow at one of the UK’s leading think tanks and a political speechwriter.
Ed is kept very busy by a toddler. He’s also the singer and songwriter in a band who have released 4 LPs, with a new one just about finished. Ed is also enjoying the most successful period of being a Lincoln City fan in his lifetime.
You know when you have a problem, an inquiry, or just need to talk there is always someone there to listen, advise, or point you in the right direction.
Maya Bhose – Director of Marketing and Partnerships
Maya has spent most of her career in the commercial sector in the UK and has more than fifteen years’ experience in marketing and brand strategy and campaign development. Maya’s specialism is building a consumer-centric mindset into a Brand. Maya worked on the launch of O2, the Nokia Lumia smartphone and many Pay TV channels, as well as an initiative for the Mayor of London to encourage inward investment to London. Maya has been leading Locality’s marketing, engagement and membership since February 2020.
Given the years Maya worked in TV, one of her favourite ways to spend an evening is watching drama. Off the sofa, Maya has been known to run and play tennis, both fuelled by a love of baking.
Graham Finegold – Strategic HR Lead
Graham has a broad experience in the voluntary sector including as a Chief Executive of a medium sized charity in London. He co-founded a successful consultancy business, working across the public and voluntary sector on a wide range of projects including financial modelling and programme management. After consulting to Locality for over two years, Graham joined the Locality team as Director of Finances and Resources in January 2018.
A recent move to an isolated part of the West Coast of Scotland has seen Graham hone his bread-making skills as well as developing new interests in foraging and kayaking.
Dawn McNish – Head of Business Development
Dawn joined Locality in 2020 to support future income generation. She has worked in the charity sector since 2009 with roles at Shelter Training and CFG, and volunteers at Toynbee Hall. Prior to joining the charity sector, Dawn worked in PR.
Dawn is very invested in the Marvel universe, musical theatre and art. She’s a mother of two rather grown children who get dragged along to the theatre and galleries. Dawn has lived in London her whole life, but she still loves to explore and find new adventures. In her next life, she’d like to be a spin instructor!
