About Convention '25
The IFS Conference will be in the UK this year to join Locality’s annual Convention. We will celebrate 100 years of the IFS and bring together people who believe in the power of community from all over the world.
The International Federation of Settlements and Neighbourhood Centres (IFS) is a global movement of more than 11,000 member associations that include multi-purpose, community-based organisations across the world. They believe in empowering the people who work for social justice by connecting, inspiring and supporting an inclusive global community. Locality is the membership network for community organisations across England. Our network of 2,000 community organisations transforms lives and creates a fairer society.
This year’s theme is Celebrating community power across the world: Looking to the future. You’ll join
600 inspiring people, whose
ambitious work is transforming our communities. There will be
opportunities to interact with speakers in plenary sessions, learn from
interactive workshops and visits, and time to connect and network. We
will also celebrate the successes of our movement at the Locality
Awards.
We will start with two days in London exclusively dedicated to international delegates (around 100 people), then join the wider Locality network for two days in Liverpool (with up to 600 delegates).

What to expect at the event and access information
We are committed to creating a welcoming, respectful environment for everyone.
The days we have together will be active and will involve navigating public transport and walking in London and Liverpool, a large conference venue, buzzy environments with lots of people, presentations on screen, noise and lights, and venues or meals where alcohol is served.

Ticket and accommodation prices
We’d love for everyone to attend both the London and the Liverpool part of our event but we know not everyone will be available for both or be able to attend both. There are different types of tickets available to reflect this (only the London event, only the Liverpool event, or both combined).
We have sourced hotels that represent good value in both cities but you are free to choose your own accommodation, so you can book tickets that include accommodation, or tickets that exclude accommodation. If you book tickets that exclude accommodation, you will be responsible for finding and booking your own accommodation, as well as for making your way independently to the group meeting points in good time for our activities.
